Everything you need to know about DURO's community-first fitness platform

DURO uses a simple, transparent fee structure. For businesses (gyms, studios, trainers), we charge 7% + payment processing (2.9% + $0.30). For community groups, we have tiered pricing starting at just 3% for groups under $25K/year, graduating to 5% ($25K-$100K) and 6% ($100K-$500K). There are no monthly fees, setup costs, or hidden charges.

$1 from every booking goes into a community investment fund. This fund is democratically controlled - community members vote on how to use these funds for community improvements, equipment, events, or other initiatives that benefit everyone. It's our way of ensuring communities retain value within their ecosystem.

When customers pay with DURO credits instead of cards, you get a 1% fee reduction. So instead of 7%, you only pay 6% platform fee. This incentivizes credit usage while saving you money. Credits also reduce payment processing fees since they're pre-purchased.

No! Unlike traditional gym software that charges $200-500/month, DURO has no monthly fees. You only pay when you make money. This saves gyms and studios thousands of dollars annually while providing all the features you need.

DURO supports five community types: Gyms (traditional fitness centers), Studios (yoga, pilates, dance, etc.), Trainers (personal trainers and coaches), Community Groups (running clubs, hiking groups, outdoor fitness), and Vendors (equipment suppliers, nutrition brands, apparel companies). Each type has features tailored to their specific needs.

Creating a community is simple: 1) Click "Start Your Community" and choose your type, 2) Complete the setup wizard with your basic information, location, and activities, 3) Add photos and describe what makes your community unique, 4) Set your pricing and policies, 5) Start creating events and inviting members. The whole process takes about 10-15 minutes.

Yes! DURO supports multi-location businesses. You can manage multiple locations under one account, with consolidated reporting and member management. Each location can have its own schedule, pricing, and staff while sharing your brand identity.

Event ticketing on DURO is straightforward: 1) Create an event with details, photos, and capacity, 2) Set ticket prices (free or paid), 3) Share your event link or let people discover it on DURO, 4) Accept bookings and track RSVPs in real-time, 5) Check in attendees with our mobile-friendly tools. You can also set early bird pricing, member discounts, and capacity limits.

Currently, DURO focuses on event ticketing and drop-in bookings. Recurring memberships and class packages are coming soon (Q2 2025). In the meantime, you can create recurring events and offer multi-event passes through our credit system.

DURO provides a mobile-friendly check-in system. You can view your attendee list on any device, check people in with one tap, track no-shows, and see real-time attendance analytics. QR code check-ins are coming soon for faster event entry.

DURO offers instant payouts! Unlike other platforms that hold your money for weeks, you can request a payout immediately after an event. Funds typically arrive in your bank account within 1-2 business days. No more waiting 30-60 days for your money.

DURO accepts all major credit and debit cards, as well as our universal credit system. Customers can pay online when booking or you can accept cash payments and mark them as paid in your dashboard. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported for quick checkout.

You have full control over your refund policy. You can process full or partial refunds directly from your dashboard. Set your own cancellation policies (24-hour, 48-hour, no refunds, etc.) and DURO will automatically enforce them. Refunded platform fees are returned to you.

Yes! DURO is fully mobile-responsive. You can manage your community, create events, track bookings, and process check-ins from any device. Native iOS and Android apps are planned for late 2025 to provide an even better mobile experience.

Unlike ClassPass which takes 50% of your revenue and controls your customer relationships, DURO only charges 7% and you own all customer data and relationships. We're built to support communities, not extract from them. You set your own prices, control your inventory, and keep 93% of revenue.

DURO takes security seriously. We use bank-level encryption, PCI-compliant payment processing, and secure cloud infrastructure. You own your customer data - we never sell or share it. Regular security audits ensure your community's information stays safe.
